The Courage To Remember The Holocaust 1933-1945:  On Exhibit August 28 - September 19. 2013
Over 2000 people attended The Courage to Remember exhibit presented by the Foundation For California and St. Thomas Aquinas High School. The opening reception was attended by over 200 STA Students and featured several guest speakers including: Congressman Ted Deutch, Florida State Representative Katie Edwards, Broward County Sheriff Steve Israel, Monsignor Vincent T. Kelly and many other notable guests.

  

Tito Puente Jr., in concert, March 1, 2013:
Tito Puente Jr. and his Latin Jazz Ensemble performed an incredible show that included many of his fathers hit songs.

     

Fushu Daiko SOLD OUT, January 18, 2013:
Fushu Daiko returned the Bienes Center and performed to a sold out crowd.
 

Dashboard Confessional SOLD OUT, January 11, 2013:
Chris Carrabba chose the Bienes Center for the Arts to debut new music from his new band in a special one night only concert.
              

STA Players: LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS SOLD OUT 4 out of 5 shows, October 11-14, 2012:
The Talented Cast and Crew of the STA Players enjoyed another successful production under the direction of Mr. Jerry Seeger.
    

Danny Aiello in Concert - January 27, 2012
Academy Award Nominee Danny Aiello brought his 8 piece jazz band to the Bienes Center for an incredible evening of jazz standards and stories from his blockbuster movie career

     

Broadway Artists Alliance Summer Intensive - June 12-16, 2012
Broadway Artists Alliance returned to the Bienes Center for the Arts for a Summer Intensive Program focused on dance, voice and drama techinciques with  exercises in song interpretation, dance, cold readings and scene study with professional Broadway performers Jennifer Johns (Grease, 42nd Street, Evita), Tyrick Jones (Hairspray, Fosse, Seussical), Alexander Rovang  and others.

           

THE PLATTERS in concert, February 18, 2011
The Platters rocked the Bienes Center on Friday, February 18th!!
Some of the greatest singers in rock & roll history have been members of The Platters and the group still remains one of the most sought after touring acts in the country. Over the years the greatest of care has been taken to assure that each new member carries on the traditions associated with the original group and it shows....The Platters stunned the capacity crowd and left us wanting more!

PAULA DEEN- Cooking Demo and Book Signing, September 16, 2010
Publix Apron's Cooking School and Smithfield presented celebrity Chef Paula Deen as a benefit for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Broward featuring a buffet of Paula's recipes and cocktails. Paula and her husband Michael signed books and chatted with attendees during a champagne reception in the Bienes Center Founders Room before taking the stage for a live cooking demo.

CHARLIE HUNTER TRIO - Concert - April 24, 2010
Guitar virtuoso Charlie Hunter stunned the crowd with his trio performance featuring Eric Kalb (Drums) and Michael R. Williams (Bass trumpet). Fans traveled from as far as Orlando and Clearwater, FL to catch the guitarist in a rare South Florida appearance. Although Charlie Hunter is best known for his 17 solo albums he has also collaborated on recordings with Norah Jones, John Mayer, John Scofield, Stanton Moore, Les Claypool, Michael Franti, D'Angelo and others.

PILOBOLUS DANCE THEATER - Master Class - April 15, 2010
On Thursday, April 15th dance students from St. Thomas Aquinas, American Heritage, Broward College, Nova University, MUSE Center for the Arts and Meg Segreto's Dance Studio experienced a rare opportunity to study and explore how movement and emotion can influence other dancers on stage. The class was taught by Annika Sheaff and other current members of  the world famous PILOBOLUS Dance Theater.
   


Omaggio a de Chirico - January 18 - Feb 5, 2010
On Monday January 18, 2010 The Bienes Center for the Arts at St. Thomas Aquinas in partnership with The Cá d’Oro Gallery in Rome and The Foundation Giorgio e Isa de Chirico, under the aegis of the United Nations and The Society Dante Alighieri of New York, celebrated the World Premiere of the American Tour of the Exhibition Omaggio a de Chirico. Notably famous Italian Artists were selected to pay tribute to the unique art of the timeless genius Giorgio de Chirico. The exhibit opened for the first time in the United States at the Bienes Center for the Arts where it was enjoyed by over 3,000 visitors before showing at NYU.

Bienes Center One Year Anniversary Event featuring Phantom: "Unmasked" - January 8, 2010
On January 8, 2010 we celebrated the one year anniversary of the Bienes Center with a special "Unmasked" performance from Phantom of the Opera stars Kelly Jeanne Grant and Dallyn Vail Bayles accompanied by Phantom Music Director Jonathan Gorst.
